Sony Xperia 5 IV: A special processor should make the difference
A first leak has appeared for the successor to the current Sony Xperia 5. Accordingly, the more or less compact flagship cell phone will rely on a special processor. However, no improvements can be expected for the cameras of the Xperia 5 IV.
Sony Xperia 5 IV: First features details
Notes on the hardware of the Sony Xperia 5 IV have appeared on the Chinese network Weibo. According to them, the phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus processor . The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (without the Plus option) is currently the fastest SoC in the Android sector. So the Sony smartphone shouldn't be lacking in performance.
In another area, on the other hand, everything will probably remain the same. As with the current model, the successor should also have the same cameras. That would mean three Sony sensors, each with a resolution of 12 MP. In addition to a wide angle, it seems to remain with a telephoto lens (with triple zoom and optical image stabilization) and an ultra wide angle. The optics are to be designed again in cooperation with the traditional manufacturer Zeiss. 8 MP can be assumed for selfies.
The OLED display of the "compact" Sony Xperia 5 IV should have a diagonal of 6.1 inches and be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. Further details about the screen are not yet known. As with the Xperia 5 III, the maximum refresh rate should again be 120 Hertz.
According to the leak, the capacity of the battery increases "slightly" . That would mean just over 4,500 mAh (source: Weibo via PhoneArena).
