Whenever Samsung launches a new flagship phone, it usually runs a different version of One UI than the device it replaces. This trend continues with the Samsung Galaxy S22 series as One UI 4.1 brings some new features that not even the Galaxy S21 has. That includes things like smart widgets and RAM Plus, which aren't currently available on Samsung's flagship 2021 lineup.
However, new information has emerged stating that Samsung will equip the Galaxy S21 series with One UI 4.1 by early March at the latest. It is not yet known whether it will then also be available on all models and whether this also applies to Germany.
Considering how incredible Samsung is at software updates, I guess we won't have to wait too long for the update to arrive. Instead, it wouldn't come as a surprise if One UI 4.1 rolls out to older devices in the next few days.
With the launch of the Galaxy S22 range, Samsung has also rocked the Android world as the company now trumps even Google in device support. The company promised four years of major Android OS updates for its latest devices, as well as five years of security patches. But that's not all: these changes have been applied retrospectively to the 2021 Samsung devices.
