{Disarmed} Android 12 update causes massive problems on Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11i
Xiaomi was one of the first manufacturers to test its in-house interface based on Android 12. The company has released the MIUI beta version in the twelfth iteration of Android for its flagships Xiaomi Mi 11, Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi 11i. Those who decided to try the beta version of the firmware will soon regret it.
After installing updates with the version numbers "V12.5.1.0.SKBMIXM", "V12.5.1.0.SKKMIXM" and "V12.5.1.0.SKAMIXM" on Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11i or Mi 11 Ultra transformed the smartphones in "bricks". So that means they are bricked and no longer usable. To get it going again, you have to contact a service center.
It was a beta and users are warned of possible problems, as an early update can be assumed to be full of bugs and errors. Nevertheless, the problem is of course the worst with bridging. It is currently unknown whether the problem occurs with the majority of smartphones that participated in the Mi-Pilot test program or whether these are exceptional cases.
After a two-year hiatus, it appears that Google has decided to resume the tradition of naming desserts on new versions of Android. Dave Burke, Google's vice president of Android development, confirmed on Twitter that Android 12 has been named Snow Cone .
