If you use WhatsApp on your iPhone, you can soon look forward to a small but fine change: the popular messenger changes the speech bubbles. First screenshots show what the new design looks like.
With iMessage there is a real WhatsApp alternative on the iPhone, but the Messenger only works within the Apple ecosystem. Many iPhone users therefore use WhatsApp to keep in touch with friends and family. In the future, they will have to get used to a new design of the speech bubbles.

If the speech bubbles were previously dipped in a light green, they have a slightly neon look in the current test. Overall, the speech bubbles with the new look now appear fresher and more modern. The new look is available in the standard WhatsApp design for the iPhone as well as in dark mode.

It is not yet known when the new WhatsApp speech bubbles will be rolled out for all iPhone users. It is also unclear whether owners of an Android smartphone will also benefit from the new look.

WhatsApp is expanding the range of functions piece by piece
In the past few months WhatsApp has introduced many new functions that improve the use of the messenger. For example, data can now be transferred between an iPhone and a Samsung cell phone. Similar to other messengers, it should also be possible in the future to be able to react to messages directly with an emoji. In the case of expiring messages, the deadline has also been increased to a maximum of 90 days.
