MIUI 12.5 will take much longer to arrive than expected: schedule and deployment plan
Xiaomi has closed this 2020 for everything great. Not only has it done so with its Xiaomi Mi 11, which is positioned as the most powerful Android on the market, but also with the arrival of MIUI 12.5 , a new big update that will unfortunately take longer to arrive than expected .
MIUI 12.5 was made official yesterday, announcing a large number of news. On this occasion, we are not only talking about aesthetic novelties, but also about a great optimization of the system that will give our smartphones greater speed and fluidity , as well as better energy consumption .
Still, the arrival of MIUI 12.5 is much further than we could have imagined . This has been demonstrated by Xiaomi after publishing the deployment schedule of this new version on its official website , confirming in turn that MIUI 13 will be "postponed" until at least the end of 2021 .
MIUI 12.5 deployment schedule and dates
MIUI 12.5 has already begun to circulate in China, although the truth is that it is the first development version . The first public beta will launch in batches in mid-January 2021 and will arrive on these devices:
- Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, 10 Ultra and Mi 10 Youth Edition.
- Redmi K30, K30 5G, K30 Pro 5G, K30i 5Gv, K30S Ultra and K30 Ultra
- Xiaomi Mi 9 and Mi 9 SE.
- Xiaomi Mi CC9e and Mi CC9 Pro.
- Redmi K20 and K20 Pro.
- Redmi 10X 5G and 10X Pro 5G.
- Redmi Note 9 5G.
- Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro.
Of course, the first stable version of MIUI 12 will not arrive until the end of April 2021 and it will do so first for the Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 10 Ultra, Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10. This makes us think that the global version of MIUI 12.5 will not see it until the middle of the year or even later.
As a consequence, in addition, MIUI 13 could be delayed until the end of 2021 . Let's not forget that MIUI 12.5 already brings a lot of news so it is an important preview of what the next version could be.
