Apple iPhone 12 with fingerprint sensor in the frame?
Apple officially announced yesterday that the company will host its second fall new product launch event on October 13th. Nobody doubts that the new iPhone 12 models and other hardware will be showcased at the event.
Various sources have released a picture of the iPhone stating that all models in the new range can get a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. If it was previously on the front under the display, the fingerprint sensor will now be in the frame on the side in the power button.
The power button with an integrated Touch ID fingerprint sensor is said to be on the right side of the iPhone 12. This arrangement has long been used by many smartphone manufacturers.
This is a little surprising, since Apple did not think that this arrangement would be adopted by various Android manufacturers. When it came to facial recognition, Apple was clearly superior. It is questionable why we are now using "outdated" technology.
