OnePlus kindles the expectations iron to red. OnePlus Nord will debut on July 21
It has to be a smartphone that will change the face of the earth, this earth. At least, OnePlus announces it, igniting the iron's expectations for redness. OnePlus Nord is coming.
OnePlus has chosen a very specific way to announce its new premiere to the world.
As COVID has effectively eliminated the sense of all major campaigns and events, and OnePlus Nord is to be a budget brand, the focus was on Instagam.
There, a dedicated profile was created, on which snippets of information about the upcoming device appear, and every week we can watch fragments of something like a documentary film, entitled "new beginnings".
Sounds ostentatious and exaggerates lightly? Exactly.
But OnePlus Nord promises to be extremely interesting, and now we also know its release date.
OnePlus Nord - what do we know about it?
A lot of official information can be caught between the lines of the document.
We already know for sure that the OnePlus Nord will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 5G processor, together with - here is my speculation - 6 or 8 GB of RAM.
We also know that the main camera, whose resolution is not yet known, will have optical image stabilization and "top quality".
We also know that on the front of OnePlus Nord we will find not one, but two cameras - with a resolution of 32 and 8 Mpix, the smaller one will be paired with the ultrawide lens, as in the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus just presented.
We also know for sure that OnePlus Nord will cost less than $ 500, which is probably around PLN 2,000 in Poland. Carl Pei, the company's CEO, emphasizes at every turn that OnePlus Nord will have an unmatched value for money.
We also saw in what packaging the new phone will reach consumers:
Now we finally know when OnePlus Nord will see the light of day in all its glory.
OnePlus Nord - release date
OnePlus today officially confirmed that the new smartphone will debut on July 21.
The premiere will take place in India because it is there that OnePlus is the most popular and the Indian market is the largest potential market for this price range phone.
OnePlus Nord is also to reach Europe, where the demand for well-priced phones is not weakening. For now, nothing is known about other regions of the world.
I just hope that OnePlus Nord is sweeping. Otherwise, fans were exposed to a total of a month of intensive inflating of the balloon with a rather tiring promotional campaign only so that at the end the balloon bursts, pierced with a needle of reality.
The first preorder, which OnePlus launched last week, spread apart. The second batch, which starts in a dozen or so hours on OnePlus.com , will probably sell just as well.
The expectations are so huge. And it's better for the company to really show something cool. Because what like what, but the world really does not need another average smartphone from the middle shelf.
