PZU and Alior Bank are looking for startups that can reduce the negative effects of a pandemic

Recruitment for the joint initiative of PZU and Alior Bank under the name RBL-START # COVID-19 has started. By 26 April, you can submit suggestions for solutions to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic restrictions. Top rated authors can count on financial support.

On the one hand, it is about showing how to best deal with an epidemiological threat, and on the other, proposing solutions that will enable people to respond to similar dangers in the future in a much more efficient and effective manner.

Therefore, the joint initiative of PZU and Alior Bank RBL-START # COVID-19 is to seek the best solutions in such areas as: prevention, diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus; social education in this field; solutions facilitating the use of online services, especially for seniors; projects that help companies move services to remote channels, and products and services that respond to clients' health, financial and insurance needs in connection with the coronavirus pandemic and similar emergencies.

PZU and Alior Bank are looking for ideas with a broader social dimension

We want to promote ideas that have a broad social dimension. They provide treatment, diagnosis, prevention and education. Also valuable will be initiatives that help improve services and insurance and banking offer, so that they better respond to the needs of customers during the crisis caused by the virus. This applies, for example, to the development of remote processes and improving them so that all customers, including older people, can use them without much effort - explains innovation director Marcin Kurczab from PZU.

Because the pandemic is developing quite dynamically, Daniel Daszkiewicz, director of the Innovation and FinTech Department at Alior Bank, emphasizes that one of the main criteria will be the ease and speed of implementing the proposed solutions on a large scale. Their readiness for implementation and availability for the widest possible audience will also be highly rated.

Selected solutions will receive financial support from both PZU and Alior Bank in preparation for implementation. The technology partner supporting this initiative is Microsoft. Recruitment for the RBL_START # COVID-19 program lasts until April 26, 2020. Applications can be made via the online form .
