Biedronka with new opening hours. Soon stores will be open around the clock
New regulations related to minimizing the risk of coronavirus infection affect the work of grocery stores. Biedronka reacts accordingly: stores will be open for us longer.
From today until further notice, the Biedronka chain stores will be open from 7:00 to 24:00. In addition, they will be open around the clock from 7 to 10 April. At the same time, the owner of the network ensures that employees in return for additional effort will be properly remunerated, higher than provided for in the Act. However, no one will work any longer thanks to the shift system.
It is a reaction to the ordinance of the Council of Ministers in connection with the coronavirus epidemic .
The limit of people who are simultaneously in the store according to the new rules is limited to a maximum of three people per one cash register. From 10-12, stores and pharmacies will be open only to the elderly, above 65 years of age. Older people can also use the shops earlier and later, but younger people cannot shop during seniors' hours. There is also an obligation to shop while wearing gloves.
These are necessary and necessary rules, but their side effect is huge queues and long shopping. Especially in larger stores, such as the aforementioned Biedronka, where even to the entrance sometimes you have to wait several minutes waiting for a safe number of people inside.
Lidl has also announced similar facilities. The stores of this network will also be open from 6:00 to 24:00, and where possible also around the clock.
