Samsung Galaxy S9 in 2019 - it is still worth buying?

In a word: yes.

Last year's Galaxy S personally recommend often and densely, because in many respects he is better than this year's average people, and at the same time is much cheaper and only slightly "worse" than this year's top-shelf devices.

If I am to be completely honest, I personally like it even more from this year's Galaxy S10 . I definitely prefer design without indents and openings in the screen, and I definitely prefer marginal thicker frames, so that at least you can conveniently handle the phone without constantly touching the edge of the screen.

Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are still the all-new modern smartphones.

After purchasing, you will definitely not lack performance. The Exynos 9810 processor combines with 4 GB of RAM (S9) or 6 GB of RAM (S9 +) and 64 GB of data space to cope with every challenge.

It is certainly impossible to complain about the display, because the sAMOLED panels - with diagonals of 5.8 "or 6.2" and resolutions of 2960 x 1440 - are still one of the leading screens among mobile devices. They are beautiful, and they are surrounded by excellent stereo speakers, so watching movies or playing games is just a pleasure.

Certainly no one will be able to say that the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are making poor photos.

While in S9 we have only one main sensor with a resolution of 12 Mpix (which offers great quality), so in the Galaxy S9 Plus we have two sensors 12 Mpix, one with a wide angle lens, the other with a telephoto lens.

Many consumers will also be happy to stay with the traditional physical fingerprint reader on their backs, instead of having to deal with either unpredictable face unlocking or with poorly functioning fingerprint readers under the screen.

In fact ... the longer I think about it, the more I can not indicate at least one important feature that smartphones from 2019 would have had that were missing in last year's Galaxy S9. Once we've established that it's still worth buying the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, let's decide which model to choose.

I used both devices and for me the choice depends on what has a higher priority: the camera and performance, or work time on a single charge.

Objectively speaking (intended word game ^^) the Galaxy S9 + has a better camera, or at least a more universal one - thanks to the use of two lenses with different focal lengths. Objectively, 6 GB of RAM is also better than 4 GB of RAM and the difference really feels. Maybe not immediately after the purchase, but after half a year already. Galaxy S9 + will allow us to do more - both when it comes to photos and everyday work.

Unfortunately, 3500 mAh, which on paper are much larger than 3,000 mAh in the Galaxy S9, in practice are much poorer. The larger screen does its job, and unfortunately, Galaxy S9 Plus on a single charge is barely enough for the whole day of work, while the "small" S9 ends the day with a considerable amount of energy.

Camera or battery? Labor productivity or work time? These are the questions that need to be answered before making a decision.

Regardless of the chosen variant, we buy a great device that will work in every application.
