From Warsaw to Krakow in an hour? The Polish hyperloop instantly collects cash for the first tests

Once again, we learn about the power of crowdfunding. Startup Hyper Poland, which is working on the implementation of the technology of hyperloop, collected in a few days 187,000. euro. There are only a few more missing now to collect funds that will allow you to carry out the first tests.

When Elon Musk presented the hyperloop project, the world fell into a mixture of admiration and disbelief . The billionaire claims that by constructing vacuum tubes and inserting capsules into them, he is able to transport passengers at a speed that strikes the speed of sound (1225 km / h). Thanks to the new technology, a trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco (560 km) would take just half an hour.

The design of the creator of Tesla is thus a de facto combination of aircraft and railways. The first one is connected by the enormous speed with which we will move from point A to B. With the latter - no burdensome check-in, the possibility of starting from city centers and problems related to the fear of detaching from the ground. Hyperloop combines in principle the best features of both these modes of transport.

The Polish hyperloop is for now a project with a slightly smaller scale.

Hyper Poland has decided that it will be faster, cheaper and simpler to adapt the already existing railway infrastructure and wants to use special track overlays, thanks to which trains will "levitate" on the magnetic cushion.

This is just the beginning of the vision outlined by Muska, but it will allow the trains to speed up to 300 km / h without huge financial outlay. The most interesting, however, will start only later. When the solution works and starts earning money, Hyper Poland intends to develop the technology further. In the next stages, the startup wants to first cover the tracks with a semicircular dome and reduce the air pressure in it (which will allow the machine to accelerate up to 600 km / h), and ultimately to build a separate infrastructure for the hyperloop .

For now, Hyper Poland finishes collecting money through the seedrs.com platform. Up to 200,000 planned the euro is really short.

This amount will allow us in the next several weeks to carry out the first trials in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe of a vehicle moving using the so-called passive magnetic levitation - explains Rzeczpospolita Przemysław Pączek, president of Hyper Poland.

It is worth noting that just applying the overlay will significantly increase the comfort of our travels. If the trains will actually speed at 300 km / h, we will cover the Warsaw-Gdańsk route in 65 minutes, Warsaw-Krakow in less than an hour, and from Katowice to Lodz, we will get on in 47 minutes.

The schedule assumes that we will be able to move hyperloop already in 2022.

And not only in Poland, because the program is also very popular outside our borders. Particularly lively interest appeared in the Baltic countries - Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia.
