The end of the year is the perfect moment to replace your smartphone. Many of this year's models have already been cheaper, thanks to which the market is sinking on occasions. Here are the best proposals up to PLN 1,200. In my opinion, of course.

I am probably the biggest fan of phones from 1200-1500 PLN. This is not a fortune yet, and at this price you can find a really good model that will not annoy us every time we take it out of our pockets. In the following proposals you will find a fairly complete overview of the market: from a few older standard smartphones, through this year's mediums, to a monstrous performance from the Xiaomi stable.

What smartphone up to PLN 1200? Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Ok, S6 Edge is not the latest phone, but its curved screen makes it look good even in 2018. At the end of 3 years ago it was the flagship model of Samsung. Exynos 7420 in combination with 3GB RAM is doing quite well. The problem may be battery life. The battery in the S6 Edge has only 2600 mAh capacity. For those who can take their eyes off the screen for a long time, this will not be a problem.

And since we're already at the screen. Super AMOLED can make an impression, because the colors displayed on it look simply insane. S6 Edge is an option for people who appreciate the nice design of the phone. When it comes to performance, it will not be the best choice for this price. If you are looking for a newer model, which must necessarily be Samsung, you can always be interested in this year's Galaxy A8 , but you will have to exceed the budget set in this text by 100 PLN. At the end I will mention that the price of the Galaxy S7 exceeds our fixed budget by only PLN 50 - I break the rules a little, but it is really worth adding the 5 nozzles. Well, unless you care most about the edge's appearance.

What smartphone up to PLN 1200? iPhone SE 32 GB

iPhone SE 32 GB is currently the cheapest smartphone from Apple, which I would recommend to everyone who is looking for a small and handy phone. The iOS system ensures trouble-free and efficient operation. The SE model also has a pretty good camera and supports Apple Pay contactless payments. A very good proposition for someone who would like to get to know the Apple ecosystem. The 4-inch diagonal screen will be a disadvantage for some people and an advantage for others.

An alternative to the SE model can also be for example the iPhone 6S, with a slightly larger, 4.7-inch screen. iPhone 6s supports 3D Touch, although I do not think it is necessary for life.

Price: approx. PLN 1199.

What smartphone up to PLN 1200? Wiko View 2 Pro

Wiko View 2 Pro is this year's so-called medium shelf and the most powerful smartphone in the offer of the French manufacturer. This is a very underrated brand on our market that is trying to change this state of affairs with attractive prices of its smartphones. Wiko View 2 Pro definitely stands out with its looks. Most phones at this price look the same: notch at the top, chin at the bottom, random logo and ready. The French broke with this scheme, making View 2 Pro more referring to the Essential Phone than to the generic Android phone for PLN 1200.

Specification? Snapdragon 450, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory. The phone also has a built-in NFC module and a fingerprint reader (located at the back). In addition, View 2 Pro works under the control of pure Android - for users who do not like the surprised system overlays is a big advantage.

What smartphone up to PLN 1200? Honor 9

I have used this model for over a year and I was very pleased, so I recommend it with a clear conscience. Especially now, when the version with 6 GB RAM can be bought for less than PLN 1200. Nines do not look like the last fashion cry (notch is missing), but it looks pretty good anyway. Especially with the silver or blue color of the housing. As for the processor, under the hood we will find here Kirina 960 - configuration with 6GB RAM ensures very smooth operation, both in everyday use and in most games. The phone also does relatively decent pictures, has a built-in NFC module and a fast-acting fingerprint reader.

Those who are more economical may be interested in a cheaper version of Honor with a 4GB RAM, but it will be associated with occasional trimming with more applications running.

This phone is unlikely to regain its pain with a standard appearance and a plastic casing, but in this case you should turn a blind eye to it. Xiaomi because all the savings saved on Pocophone's appearance got into its specification, which at this price is simply unmatched.

The heart of the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which is one of the fastest circuits for Android smartphones. Up to PLN 1200, you can buy a version with 6 GB RAM 128 GB internal memory, which can be expanded using microSD cards. Such specification allows trouble-free operation of both the most demanding games and programs, as well as keeping a large number of applications in memory. It is a pity that the Chinese did not decide to put the NFC module in this model. I suspect, however, that performance maniacs will not interfere too much. A huge plus is the support of fast charging technology.
