However, it still does not solve many problems. Such passwords have to be entered carefully, they must be changed sometimes (eg when they are compromised) and because each service should have a separate password, we still have to remember a lot of complicated combinations.

The help comes from the password managers who can remember the very difficult and unique password for each service. I use this solution, among others on iPad and iPhone. This device remembers my passwords, and I need to place my finger on a fingerprint reader (Touch ID) to login to, for example, an Internet service. If I had a newer iPhone or iPad, I would not even have to move my finger - thanks to Face ID the device would scan my face and know that it was me.

This is the future. Yes, you have to live.

A moment ago I learned that Alior Bank and T-Mobile Banking Services will implement such a solution in their mobile applications - users of Android and iOS applications will be able to log into accounts and authorize fingerprinting operations. The latest versions of Android apps are already capable of this.

The relevant update for iOS will appear next week. In addition, the owners of the latest Apple devices - including iPhone X, iPhone XS and iPhone XR - will be able to log in using Face ID - an advanced facial recognition feature.

Alior Bank and T-Mobile Banking Services will allow new ways to verify the user's authorization of selected instructions, including transfers, top-ups, card repayments, BLIK payments.

Identifying identity using biometrics is becoming more and more common because it makes identification simpler, more convenient and even safer. The user does not have to remember many passwords and PINs, which can be cumbersome - says Agata Strzelecka, a member of Alior Bank's board.
