Honor 60 SE release date will be announced tomorrow
Honor had already introduced the Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro smartphones in China in December 2021. Rumors always spoke of an Honor 60 SE, but there was nothing to be seen of this model at the presentation. Now, Honor China CMO Jiang Hairong Harrison has confirmed on Weibo that the company will announce a new Honor 60 series product tomorrow.
One can assume that the release date of the Honor 60 SE will be announced tomorrow. The name of the Honor 60 SE isn't confirmed yet, but since the company launched the Honor 50 SE last year, the next phone in the Honor 60 series could be called the Honor 60 SE.
In December, an Honor smartphone with the model number GIA-AN00 was approved by the Chinese authority 3C. The same device was recently spotted on Geekbench. It is speculated that the GIA-AN00 Honor smartphone could be launched as the Honor 60 SE.
The 3C listing of the GIA-AN00 showed that the device might come with support for 66 watts fast charging. The device scored 3,314 points in the Geekbench 4 single-core test and 8,287 points in the multi-test. The listing shows that the device is equipped with the Dimensity 900 chipset and 8 GB of RAM. The device will likely run Android 11 and the latest Magic UI.
The Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro are powered by the Snapdragon 778G and Snapdragon 778G Plus, respectively. Therefore, it seems that the Honor 60 SE will be positioned below the Honor 60 series.
