The Amazfit 5 was upgraded to a more expensive Mi Band 5
Some time ago, Huawei introduced the Amazfit 5 band, which is a fitness tracker almost similar to Xiaomi's Mi Band 5. The new tracker was launched in the United States yesterday and has some features that the Xiaomi tracker does not have.
The AmazFit 5 strap has a 1.1-inch AMOLED touch screen with up to 45 different screens to choose from. Users can also select their images to use as a clock display.
This fitness tracker can track up to 11 sports modes including indoor and outdoor cycling, elliptical, swimming and jumping. This strap is equipped with a BioTracker 2 PPG sensor for 24-hour heart rate monitoring with support for alerts when the heart rate is high. This section also includes sleep quality monitoring using the SomnusCare sensor, the Huami PAI health assessment system, and stress monitoring.
The Amazfit 5 also has a SpO2 (OxygenBeats) monitor to measure blood oxygen, a feature that Xiaomi's fitness tracker does not have, which can track them with warnings before menstrual cycles and ovulation periods. Alexa Audio lets users ask questions, set reminders, and control smart home devices.
There is a 125 mAh battery inside this fitness tracker that should work on a single charge in normal use for up to 2 weeks and in energy saving mode for up to 25 days.
The Amazfit 5 is priced at around $ 45 and will go on sale Sept. 21 and will be available in the United States through Amazon.
