You bought Affinity Photo but still can't get to learn the program? No more excuses, the monthly tutorial program starts.

A series of Affinity programs stormed the computers of photographers, graphic designers, designers and deteppers . Their producer, Serif, in a short time created a great alternative to - as it seemed so far - the absolute hegemon, i.e. Adobe.

And so Affinity Photo fights like an equal with Photoshop, Affinity Designer with Illustrator, and Affinity Publisher with InDesign. Adobe often wins, but Affinity is so good and fresh that you can change it even at work. Lack of luggage of several (or even several dozen) years of program development means that Affinity has a better and lighter approach to the interface and tools.

Affinity programs are also incomparably cheaper than Adobe solutions, and now you can buy them at half the price.

Adobe sells software only on subscription, while Affinity focuses on the standard distribution model. In addition, their programs are very cheap in relation to the possibilities.

Currently, Serif sells all Affinity programs at half the price. The incentive for the promotion was a pandemic, in which the creators on the one hand lose orders and a large part of income, but on the other, they have more time to experiment. You bought Affinity ... and what next? The producer has a series of tutorials for you.

The basics of each Affinity program are clearly explained in short tutorials on the manufacturer's website . A series of short films explains interface meanders and shows key working techniques. For this we can download several cheat sheets in the form of PDFs.

In the case of Affinity Photo it is as many as 90 short films, but this is still information given in a technical, dry way. However, Affinity has prepared a great surprise, i.e. a month of free tutorials on YouTube.

We're talking about real movies. The first materials last for several dozen minutes and show the entire process of creating a given project, from a blank page to the final result. The creator comments on the whole, explaining the course of his work. Thus, it is a great opportunity to watch the workflow of experienced people.

I love such productions. Although I know Affinity Photo quite well, each instructional video brings a new idea to improve performance. Each person's way of working is different, so it's worth looking at the better ones.

I recommend checking out the Affinity channel and give the company programs a chance. For me, I ended up having Photoshop and Affinity Photo installed in parallel, although the first one is practically only used to remove dust from photos, because the Content Aware brush in Photoshop still works better. And there remains the unfortunate Lightroom, which holds me firmly in Adobe. If Affinity showed their own alternative to this program, who knows, maybe I would finally abandon Adobe for good.
