Motorola Edge + 5G release confirmed on April 22nd

Three years after Motorola launched its last flagship smartphone - the Moto Z2 Force - with little Trara, the company today officially announced its plans for a "Motorola Flagship Launch E-vent" on Wednesday, April 22 .

The announcement will be made two months later than originally planned. Motorola wanted to announce its return to MWC 2020 in February in detail. There, everything should concentrate fully on the highly anticipated Motorola smartphones Edge and Edge +.

As the name suggests and has been confirmed by Motorola itself, both devices will be equipped with a curved display. This is extremely similar to the "waterfall displays" known from China.

Rumors indicate that both models will have 6.7 "displays with a" punch hole "for the front camera. On the back of the Motorola Edge + a quad camera should be installed, on the "normal" Edge a triple camera.

Both smartphones will offer 5G network support even though they don't have the same chipset installed. The Motorola Edge is expected to be based on the Snapdragon 765, while the Edge + should benefit from the more powerful Snapdragon 865.
