OnePlus 8 is fast approaching. There is not much time until the premiere of the new smartphone, so it's time to summarize what we already know about it.

In the current situation, no smartphone premiere can be taken for granted, but in the type of case everything indicates that OnePlus 8 will debut without further obstacles.

As OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said on Twitter, the company has already shifted the release date three times due to a raging pandemic, but "time to move on". OnePlus 8 will debut next month.

This is of course a specification based on unconfirmed reports, so finally some of its elements may be subject to change.

If you believe this information, OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will have no headphone connector, while OnePlus 8 Lite will still have it. In turn, OnePlus 8 Pro is to support wireless charging for the first time in the company's history, as well as offer water and dust resistance, with IP68 certification.

All three will have a fingerprint factor on the screen and all three will work under Android 10 with the Oxygen OS overlay. We can also expect that both OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will be equipped with stereo speakers.

We already know a little more about the optical tools of the most expensive of the new OnePlus. According to information provided by Pricebaba , the main OnePlus 8 Pro camera is a Sony IMX689 sensor, connected to a wide angle lens with f / 1.78 brightness - the same one found in Oppo Find X2 Pro.

The Sony IMX586 sensor with a resolution of 48 Mpix will work with it. The same one that we saw as the main module in OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro, but this time it will be paired with an ultra wide angle lens with f / 2.2 brightness and a field of view of 120 degrees.

The set will also include an 8 Mpix sensor with a telephoto lens with f / 2.44 brightness and three times optical magnification and 30x digital magnification, as well as a 5 Mpix color filter. We do not know exactly how this last sensor would work, but I expect a solution similar to the one that Huawei has been using for years in its smartphones: one sensor is only dedicated to color registration, so the picture is more detailed.

Other information says that OnePlus 8 Pro will also be equipped with a combination of optical and digital image stabilization to offer video stability equal to that found in new iPhones or Samsung Galaxy S20.

It will be a worthy rival of Samsung Galaxy S20 and Xiaomi Mi 10 .

OnePlus last year : 7 Pro, 7T and 7T Pro, were my favorite Android smartphones that appeared on the market in 2019. Everything was right there: from specifications, through great screens, great speakers, to great software and a very reasonable price .

I'm afraid that this time the price may be a bit less reasonable, especially in the case of the OnePlus 8 Pro model - we finally have wireless charging and IP68 certification, which in recent years have been one of the elements of cost cutting. So I would not count on the OnePlus 8 Pro starting from an equally reasonable price ceiling as the OnePlus 7T Pro .

I suspect, however, that even after the increase it will cost less than Xiaomi Mi 10, not to mention the Samsung Galaxy S20. OnePlus is preparing a very strong rival for its competitors.

However, you can expect that OnePlus 8 will not hit the price, as it did not hit the OnePlus 7T last year. If the company somehow manages to keep it at around PLN 2,500, we will have to deal with the absolute best price-quality ratio in the entire android world.

However, we will only get to know the details when the new OnePlus smartphones actually debut on the market. We do not yet know the specific date when this is to happen, but preliminary information indicates mid-April.
