I have two air purifiers at home. When the third came for testing, I thought it was too much. It turned out not to be.

I live in Bielsko-Biała - a city that aspires to be the capital of Polish smog. When the heating season begins, evenings without wind come, then there is something outside the window:

That's why I have two air purifiers at home. One more powerful in the living room, which also has a separate office part and is adjacent to the bedroom. Two doors lead to the bedroom, so the air circulation in this room is quite good. A second cleaner is in the child's room. We decided on an additional device for this room, because in the evening it is closed when the son goes to bed and then it was a nightmare in that room. The degree of air pollution exceeded all standards.

Hallway, bathroom and kitchen do not have purifiers. But these are rooms in which none of the household members stays too long, especially in the evenings, when the air outside the window is the worst. In addition, two purifiers located at almost extreme points of the apartment cause that the air is cleaned quite efficiently and by mixing between rooms it guarantees good quality readings almost anywhere.

However, there is a problem with my air purifiers. One ( Sharp KC-A50EUW ) looks like this:

The second one (Sharp KC-F32EU-W) is a bit nicer and looks like this:

Therefore, they are not devices that will make an interior. On the contrary. Setting them up, I tried to do it so that, first of all, they work efficiently, and secondly not too noticeable because their beauty is disputable.

Electrolux Pure A9 - appearance and performance

When he came to me for Elextrolux Pure A9 testing, I wondered where I would put it. It's a big cleaner, so I was afraid I might have a problem with it.

The problems ended when I pulled Pure A9 out of the box. He is beautiful.

The Electrolux Pure A9 purifier makes a very good first impression. The shape of the device is unusual and you can see that the manufacturer not only made sure that the device worked efficiently, but also looked good.

We have here elements of metal with holes through which air enters. Behind these holes is a filter. Above the filter there is a turbine. The casing element that covers it has been covered with material, thanks to which the use of plastic elements that are not considered premium material has been reduced to a minimum. The upper panel has air outlets that look very futuristic. A bit like the layout of a spacecraft.

The icing on the cake are handles that look like leather. Thanks to them, we can conveniently move the purifier to another room. And they are so nice that even if we don't use them, they still please the eye.

Electrolux Pure A9 is a purifier that fits into a modern interior and after buying it you will not have to wonder where to put it. He looks good in almost every place. After removing it from the cardboard box, I put it in the hall. I did it for a while and it stayed like that for a long time. I later moved him to the child's room when I had to clean the filters in Sharpie who is standing with his son. There Pure A9 also looked good - what you see in the pictures in this text.

Electrolux Pure A9 - service and operation

The cleaner is operated with a touch panel at the top of the device. The service is very easy. We have two buttons here: a switch and a mode change. The switch turns on and off. Changing the mode switches between automatic (here called "Smart") and manual.

Smart measures the air quality and automatically adjusts the fan speed. The faster it works, the louder the device is, but it is also more efficient. In my opinion, up to 50 percent volume speed is OK. You can function with such equipment, as long as it doesn't stand next to us. Over 50% it is getting uncomfortably loud, but it also goes into such turns in the Smart mode quite rarely - when the kitchen is frying or when someone opens the balcony and the drama is outside.

The device also indicates the degree of pollution by color. A glance is enough to see that it is bad and understand why the apartment suddenly got a little louder.

In addition to the meter built into the purifiers, I have two external meters at home, so I can somehow verify the indications from the purifiers. Based on external sensors, I assess the work of Electrolux Pure A9 very well - it goes into high speed when it is needed and returns to quiet operation as soon as the situation is under control.

The equipment is extremely efficient. According to the manufacturer, it can cope with a room up to 60 sq m. I tested it in a slightly smaller apartment and managed it. Despite the fact that I already have two purifiers at home, Pure A9 had something to do. When I ventilate the apartment in the evening, when the air outside is not tragic yet, then I have to clean it intensively. My two cleaners did it, but Electrolux, who helped them, showed that it could be done faster.

I easily went down with PMs to the level of 1 or 2 μm / sq m, which was not easy for me to do before.

The credit goes to construction, which affects performance. The purifier efficiently draws air from all sides and throws it clean up. Placed in a good place, e.g. on the border of two rooms, it efficiently cleans both in the blink of an eye, efficiently selecting the required work speed.

In manual mode, of course, we can manually control the operation of the device. We set the speed by moving the square around the highlighted semi-circle. The device has 9 speed modes.

The service is trivial. So simple that my son learned it quickly.

He approaches the purifier himself, sets the wind to the max and throws the balloon over the exhaust air. He plays with a balloon flying in this way. It is delicious in its own way, but we do not always want the apartment to blow when the child wants. Therefore, the device lock comes in handy and is activated by pressing and holding both buttons at the same time. My son hasn't figured it out yet.

The upper panel can display several icons. They inform you about Wi-Fi connectivity, ionization (activated in the application), blockade enabled or the need to replace the filter.

Electrolux Pure A9 - application

We can also control the purifier from the application level. This method will be especially appreciated by people who have a larger apartment and want to control the device or check the quality of air while in another room.

From the application level, we will do almost the same as on the purifier panel. There is one difference. The ionization function can only be enabled in the application.

Operation of the application is as simple as the purifier itself. The configuration of the application did not cause me any problems. Just install it, register (providing your email and password), and then go through the settings step by step consisting in connecting to Wi-Fi and scanning the camera code visible inside the housing. Electrolux Pure A9 - rating

The Electrolux Pure A9 purifier is very nice, well-made, very effective, easy to use, with convenient application.

The manufacturer has provided for it several different filters:

• Breeze - a universal filter to use at any time of the year (I've tested it),
• Clean - anti-smog filter,
• Breathe - antiallergic filter,
• Fresh - anti-odor filter,
• Care - antibacterial filter.

The offer is so large that every customer will find something for themselves. If the choice is overwhelming you, choose Breeze. It's a filter that works well in most home and office applications.

Disadvantages of the Electrolux Pure A9 purifier? A small problem is that ionization can only be enabled from the application. I think adding this function directly on the purifier would not be an expensive or difficult procedure.

You can also attach to the fact that some air purifiers of similar sizes have the function of humidifying the air. In the heating season, the air in the apartment gets dry and additional humidification is useful. My two Sharps have this function.

But I also know that not everyone needs it. If you already have a humidifier or you have enough air that does not require additional humidification, and the only problem is pollution, then take Electrolux Pure A9. It's great.
