DJI Mavic 3 Pro not as fast as we thought. Competition turned out to be too strong

DJI Mavic Pro 3 and Mavic Air 2 are the most anticipated drones of 2020. We can wait for them longer than we expected, and all because of the DJI competition.

Rumors about the quick premiere of the DJI Mavic 3 Pro drone have been coming back for several months. It might seem that the Mavic 2 series just debuted, but a quick look at the calendar shows something different. DJI Mavic Pro premiered in September 2016. The second generation - Mavic 2 Pro and 2 Zoom - debuted after less than two years, i.e. in August 2018. Keeping to this schedule, the premiere of Mavic 3 should take place in mid-2020.

DJI Mavic Air needs a successor even more. The drone premiered in January 2018, so two years have passed from it. The first Mavic Air is still a great drone, but you can improve several parameters, such as flight time on a single charge. From the declared 21 minutes in winter it gets less than 15.

DJI is to include delays. All thanks to the premiere of Autel EVO II drones.

Lobby reports say that the DJI board was not ready for the competition move in the form of the new Autel EVO II drone series. These are three new drones with specifications that, in terms of numbers, sweep every drone from the Mavic series, even the Mavica 2 Pro.

The best Autel EVO II Pro surprises on several levels. First, it has a camera with a 1-inch matrix that can record in 6K. The basic EVO II, in turn, has a smaller matrix, but it records in 8K and photographs in as much as 48 megapixels.

Secondly, Autem showed a truly groundbreaking obstacle detection system. Works in every direction and is based on 12 cameras and two sonars. Added to this is the Dynamic Track 2.0 tracking system, which detects up to 64 objects in the frame at the same time, analyzes their movement, allows you to predict the direction of movement and track the selected object.

Third, Autel drones can fly up to 40 minutes on a single charge.

Such parameters embarrass DJI, and yet this manufacturer hates the situation when it is in the back. DJI is accustomed to the fact that it dictates rules and imposes the pace of development on others. According to leaks, Prime Minister Autel has made us wait for new DJI drones longer than originally anticipated.

The fastest DJI release will be the DJI Matrice 300 platform.

It will be the successor to the DJI Matrice 200 and 210 platforms designed for professional applications. The Matrice 200 load capacity is up to 2 kg, the flight time is up to 38 minutes, and the drone is splashproof. The platform is also compatible with DJI Zenmuse cameras. The DJI Matrice 300 is expected to debut in February 2020.
