End of delicacies. Android 10 introduces new logos, colors and names
From the very beginning, subsequent Android editions were named after various sweet delights. What will Google choose for the letter Q? Well ... nothing. Android Q will not be. Android 10 will be there instead.
Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat, Oreo and Pie - quite an appetizing list of subsequent versions of Android. Unfortunately, this tradition of calling editing desserts in alphabetical order is just going down in history. It will be better and more readable. It is a pity, because the naming so far was ... quite nice.

From now on, Android will be referred to only as the version number. The successor of Android Pie, known so far under the temporary name Android Q , will simply be Android 10, from version number 10.0. Subsequent editions are Android 11, Android 12 and so on - with the highly probable assumption that these will arise.
Android changes the name, but that's not all. With Android 10 there will be new colors and design

From now on, the Android name will not be written in green, but in black. The shade of robocik referring to the name was also changed. The whole actually looks more modern and clean, although in practice it will not matter much. After all, the overwhelming majority of Android devices sold includes a modified version, with design and colors designed by the manufacturer of the device.
Pushing irrational and perhaps infantile emotions aside, change probably makes absolute sense. The numbers are clearer than the names of desserts, even if you know the rule of naming them in alphabetical order. It will be easy for everyone to understand at once that Android 12.3 is the newer than version 11.1, which in the case of snacks was not always clear to everyone. But ... it's a shame.
