The new Wacom Cintiq 22 is a budget graphics tablet that stands out with a huge screen size of 21.5 inches. The equipment looks like a great proposition for graphic designers and retouchers.

Wacoma graphics tablets have been associated with a touchpad with a pen for years. However, the offer has been much wider for several years. Wacom Cintiq 22 is a screen that does not work by itself. We are actually dealing with an external touch screen, which in practice is to act as an additional (or basic) computer display, both with Windows and macOS.

The new tablet has an IPS screen with a resolution of 22 inches (this is the manufacturer's roundness, in fact the diagonal is 21.5 inches) and the Full HD resolution. The panel is covered with tempered glass with anti-reflective coating and displays 96 percent. sRGB color space and 72 percent NTSC. The brightness is 210 cd / m2, which also indicates the office character of the device, because this value can not cope outside in the sun.

It is the stylus that is the key element of the puzzle. As with Wacom, it does not require charging because it uses electromagnetic resonance technology. Pro Pen 2 detects 8,192 pressure levels and 60 levels of tilt. After finishing the work, the stylus can be put in a specially prepared handle on the side of the case, so you will not lose it or fall off your desk. The handle can be detached, and in addition it houses the three spare stylus tips attached to the set.

Wacom Cintiq 22 is also compatible with other Wacom styluses, including Wacom Art Pen, which detects rotation along the axis, or with slim Pro Pen Slim.

The screen is powered from the socket and connects to the computer via the HDMI port. On top of that we have one USB port for connecting accessories.
