"Yes", the answer to the question that everyone who came to this text probably asked. The question is "Is it worth buying Dyson V11 Absolut Pro" or alternatively "Is it worth buying a vacuum cleaner for that kind of money".

And the answer in both cases sounds the same.

"Yes".

Explain.

Of course, I can even do it on my example. I have two vacuum cleaners at home - a small double-storey semi - detached twin . One tiny, automatic, which deals with the corridor, bathroom, vestibule and kitchen. The second is a real machine for pulling everything, including small animals, telephones and similar items. Theoretically, it should be used for cleaning the rest of the house, including two rooms upstairs, and also for regular vacuuming of the car. In practice, however, it has been unused for many weeks, collecting only dust.

Reason? It is huge, heavy, and requires permanent connection to the socket. At the very thought of having to rewind, connect, unwind and unwind cables, avoid cleaning them or lugging him to the floor, I come to - wrongly of course - the conclusion that it is not so dirty so that you need to vacuum.

At the same time, I was sure that my set was right , and the problem lies in my laziness. And then he came to me for a few weeks Dyson V11 Absolute Pro.

And suddenly everything changed?

Suddenly it may not. I can not imagine that I would throw away immediately after receiving the parcel on the box, in which there is simply a vacuum cleaner. Oh, another home equipment that I can test when I feel like it.

Ochota came quickly enough - I finally put a packet with a vacuum cleaner on the first floor, into the office, and the cat's blots and sand all around encouraged me to clean up a bit. So I opened the package and two things were immediately thrown at me.

First of all - I'm not surprised at the price of Absolute Pro. The set of accessories supplied in the set is so huge that during these few weeks I have not yet explored the use of some of the tips sent to me. The whole thing is packed in a way that reminded me of the moment I unpack my iMac. Everything has its place, everything has its small, precisely targeted box.

What did I find inside? The same electro brush was of three different types - from Hight Torgue with nylon bristles for carpets, anti-static carbon fibers to pick up dust from hard surfaces and work monitoring system (seriously), through Soft Roller to hard surfaces, up to mini electro brush, which we enter there, where its bigger versions have no chance to get.

In addition, a combo tip, a crevice nozzle, a dust brush, a brush with harder bristles for dirt, which has to be scratched, an elastic crevice nozzle and a specially bent tip, so that we can clean - as in my case - the upper surfaces of the beams. I would not have a chance to reach it with standard ends.

All these elements are attached to the pipe or directly to the vacuum cleaner itself using a convenient clamp system. Convenient - and more convenient than what I knew so far - mainly because the whole does not require almost any strength. You do not have to be afraid that if you try to remove one end, we will tear it out so that we hit the person standing behind us. Everything is done here gently, efficiently and with a satisfying click at the time of assembly.

And the second observation?

The second is a little more basic. It seems that this form of vacuum cleaner is a form I have been looking for a long time, but for some reason I was afraid to check it. The entire main unit has a mass of just 3.05 kg and just over 37 cm in length. With the attached short tip I was able to not only vacuum, but also ... with my other hand hold a heavy camera with a heavy lens and take pictures. Indeed, keeping Dyson in front of you in your upright hand for a long time is already fun for gym fans, but you do not feel that burden during daily cleaning.

Not to mention that bringing him up the stairs and ending up after cleaning up is completely effortless, what I can definitely say about my private vacuum cleaner. I also do not have to worry about whether or not I will get stuck in cables during cleaning or transport. Perfectly.

There is no cable? It probably needs to be charged every single short vacuum.

But no, unless we have a really big house and really a lot of nefarious nooks where dirt accumulates. In Eco mode, the battery lasts for a round hour of cleaning and this is the result that can be realized in reality, and not just in Dyson's laboratory.

However, if we manually change the mode or turn on the automatic mode (available with the High Torque electro brush), we will see the confirmation immediately on the screen ...

Wait, how is it? Vacuum cleaner with screen?

Yes, we have 2019, so it should not surprise anyone. In Dyson V11 you will find a display and a single button. By clicking on the second one, you can change the operating mode - you can choose between Auto, Eco and Boost (and possibly Mid if Auto is not available). In most cases, it can be used for automatic mode - not only that we will save energy in the battery, but also the vacuum cleaner will select the work power with the electric brush for the current conditions and needs. And so - it is able to change the power in the middle of vacuuming, and then change the mode when, for example, the surface changes.

How it's working? The Hight Torque electro brush is able to monitor 360 times per second (!) The brush resistance, thus determining the surface it faces. Otherwise, it will set the power on a hard surface, e.g. on panels, and differently on the carpet. At the same time we do not have to do anything - just move the vacuum cleaner on the surfaces that we want to clean. In practice, it works so that when you vacuum, for example, panels or tiles, the vacuum cleaner - thanks to information from the High Torque brush - automatically switches the mode of operation to Mid or Eco . If, however, we enter a carpet or similar ground - it will switch to Boost mode. The entire operation is performed without our participation.

Here you can see how it works in practice and how it affects energy savings in the battery. On the tiles, the vacuum cleaner works in standard mode, while the wiper immediately recognizes as a more demanding surface and switches on stronger suction. After returning to the tile, he immediately returns to a more economical mode:

Boost mode sounds loud ...

And you can not hide that it is rather noisy, at least compared to the other modes. It is not definitely as loud as it might seem after observing the enthusiasm that draws in smaller and heavier dirt. If you analyze the noise ratio for effectiveness, then Boost mode is not so loud. The more so because we are talking about 125 thousand. rotations per minute...

On the medium and lowest setting, however, it is definitely quieter. In Eco mode you can talk to other household members only by raising your voice slightly or not raising it at all. The same applies in the Mid mode, i.e. the average power setting.

It must be remembered that most vacuum cleaners will work mostly in two weaker modes - the highest power level is activated very, very rarely, because it is also rarely needed. This is good news, because it clearly reduces the device's working time on a single charge.

And how is it charged?

A cable if someone needs it. But that does not mean that we have to accept the tangle of wires in the house. The set is added to the docking station, which can be mounted, for example, on the wall in the utility room and in this way not only save space and time (we do not have to unfold and assemble the vacuum cleaner), but elegantly distribute the cables.

By the way, during vacuuming, we do not have to worry about the fact that the vacuum cleaner will suddenly surprise us with a discharged battery. The display is also used to inform us on a regular basis how much vacuuming time has been left in the current operating mode.

Everything so good so far, but ... how does it clean?

And that was probably one of the biggest surprises of this test for me. Dyson V11 is a small, light and wireless vacuum cleaner that can cope properly with any dirt, regardless of size.

Dried mud (in huge amounts) in the vestibule? The electro brush automatically turns on higher speeds and immediately, after one pass, eliminates pollution. Withers of cat and dog fur scattered all over the house and in the corners? Zero problem. An animal couch covered with hair? A few trips and it looks like almost new. Carpets? A similar thing. Stairs? No cable and heavy vacuum cleaner - pleasure. Dirt in the car from carrying everything in the trunk - including briquette and mower? A little more work, but again, with a perfect effect. All attempts to scatter flour and similar crumbs did not make any impression on Dyson V11 either.

Added to this is the presence of a lot of tips and accessories. I have a house with such an internal structure that I just accepted that in some places (eg on the upper part of the beams) there must be dust and I will not do anything about it anymore. During the tests, however, it turned out that everywhere you can reach - you just have to want and have the right end or extension tube. And everything I needed was in a box.

Of course, you do not have to carry all the ends with you at all times. For me, usually two were enough, in the set there is a plastic handle, which allows you to attach a tip from the side to the pipe, which we like to use, but currently we do not need it. Simple but effective.

There are two great things connected with these tips.

Great things related to vacuum cleaner tips?

Yes. And both are definitely out of the practicality category on a daily basis.

First of all - all electro brush are incredibly maneuverable. So much so that you have to get a little used at the beginning so that they do not run away during cleaning. However, if we already master them, it turns out that you can drive them almost anywhere. Under the wardrobe, under the bed, in the narrow spaces between the cabinets and so on. All this without having to lift the vacuum cleaner and take the brush off the floor.

Second - and a good harbinger in terms of longevity, all the more complicated ends can be dismantled for the first part to clean them. And this is one of the reasons why we have to pay a bit more at the beginning - the manufacturer does not count that we will return to it in a year or six months to buy items that have broken down or become dirtier in use. We disassemble, clean and are like new.

Besides, not only can you clean and use it for a long time.

What else?

Of course, the V11 is equipped with a filter, so that even the smallest pollen (well, 99.97% of them) do not get into the air again in the room. However, you do not have to worry about changing it regularly - you only need to unscrew it every now and then, wash it, wait until it dries and you can start cleaning again.

And how do you know it's time to clean the filter? It's simple - the appropriate message will be displayed on the screen of the vacuum cleaner. So this screen is not only a gadget, but also a useful solution.

And how is the container? Is not it too small?

Definitely not, unless you want to clean it with a huge warehouse. With the thorough cleaning of my modest 80 m2, it never happened that the container was completely full. For this it is very easy to clean - just place it over the bucket and pull the red lever that opens the flap. Garbage will be pushed out very thoroughly, and we can continue cleaning.

The only drawback of this solution? We have to dismantle all the accessories and pipes for the time we get rid of the garbage. But this is a small cost, considering how convenient and quick it is to get rid of waste. For this we do not have to worry about anything that spills out during the dismantling of the additives - the container is tightly sealed and even without the tube and tip attached, nothing comes out of it.

Something else?

Actually, no. Finding any defects in this vacuum cleaner is actually art for art.

The more so that the Dyson V11 has absolutely everything to think again, whether my current set of vacuum cleaners is certainly optimal. It is light, small, it can be conveniently docked in a special station, it works long enough on one charge, so that I clean the whole house, and it is infernally universal. And to the point that I can not think of what I could not vacuum it with. Floors and carpets? Evidence. Stairs? Sure. Car? Here you are. Dusty shelves with books? Will do. Countertops in the kitchen? Dining room table? The corners of the bathroom? Near high roof windows? Beams under the ceiling? Fireplace grilles? Everything can be grasped by this set.

Initially, I wanted to mention that this price - Dyson V11 starts from about 2600 PLN - it's definitely too much for a vacuum cleaner. On the other hand, it's less than you have to pay for, for example, two Chinese automatic vacuum cleaners, which will not get us under the ceiling, and after which usually every now and then you have to clean up. Not to mention the fact that we do not know how long they will work with us, while the V11 looks like equipment that is able to survive not so much cleaning, probably ... many homes.
