Google celebrates its founding on September 27th each year and commemorates the day internationally with hardware deals. The Google Store will be running the one-day 24th birthday sale a little earlier next week.
The following banner can be found in most European and some Asia-Pacific Google Stores today: "Our 24-hour sale starts on 9/9. The countdown is running."
Friday 9 September is unusually early compared to previous years. After all, it is closer to September 4, 1998, the actual founding date of Google, although google.com was registered a year earlier, on September 15.
In Europe last year there was a promo code of 20 percent on most products. There was even a 23 percent discount on selected items. Let's see how generous Google is this year.
