Sony has presented new figures for the PlayStation 5. The NextGen console is still not really available, the demand is significantly higher than the production volume. The quarterly figures show that 2 million units of the PS5 could be sold in the last quarter.
All in all, Sony has so far reached 19.3 million PlayStation 5s that have been sold. Sony is not really satisfied with this and wants to increase the sales figures. But this is not due to Sony, but rather to delivery problems with the components.
Sony actually wanted to have sold 22 million PS5s by this time, so it clearly missed the mark. As a result, Sony sold fewer PlayStation 5s than PlayStation 4s over the same period. But as I said, back then with the PS4, there were no delivery problems. And presumably Sony could have already sold more than 30 million PS5 if the production went smoothly.
