Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro

Google is hailing the Pixel 6 lineup as a success, despite the difficult shipping conditions that much of the industry has been grappling with this year. The company shared a sneak peek at device sales at I/O 2022, stating that it's the fastest-selling Pixel lineup.

Not only that, but Google says it's sold more Pixel 6 units than the Pixel 4 and Pixel 5 combined, which is pretty impressive when we consider the challenges these phones have faced. How many phones is that exactly? We may never get an exact number directly from Google as all of this is closely guarded, but given Google's best year, which was 2019 and somewhere around 7 million units sold, we could surmise that the total number of Pixels sold was 6 -units higher than that.

If we compare Pixel 6 sales to those of Samsung and Apple, which sell hundreds of millions of devices a year, it's not a huge number, but Google is heading in the right direction.
