Oppo Flip is set to launch as a cheap clamshell phone
Oppo is already working on its next foldable phone. After presenting a model in the classic smartphone/tablet design with the Oppo Find N, another model – this time in clamshell format – will probably appear soon.
Like Samsung or Huawei, Oppo relies on 2 form factors for foldable smartphones. Accordingly, a cheap foldable in clamshell format should see the light of day. So far it has been called the Oppo Flip, but it is not yet known whether it will also be called the final.
The rumor from China says that the Oppo Flip will probably be a lot cheaper than the competition. A price of around 5,000 CNY is said to be planned, which is the equivalent of a little more than EUR 700.00. This would make it really much cheaper than other models.
The Oppo Flip is said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset. This fact alone makes you doubt that the device should really be that cheap.
