Amazon Fire tablet with Fire OS 8 is now based on Android 11
Just a few days ago, Amazon presented its new Fire 7 models. Once again, you can buy a cheap Android tablet, but it comes with some limitations. An Android fork runs on the Amazon Fire 7 and there is no Google Play Store either.
Despite these limitations, there are also positive things to report. So Amazon finally dares to make a leap in the Android version used. So far, Android 9 has been used, which is no longer supported by Google.
Therefore, it has now been decided that the new models with Fire OS 8 will now run on an Android 11 fork. It's not the latest version either, but it's still better than Android 9. And so you can use some of the features introduced with Android 11 on the new Amazon Fire 7.
