Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra: MIUI 13 with Android 12 has arrived in Germany

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is now getting the update to MIUI 13 based on Android 12 in Germany. The update should now be distributed in Germany. According to the update roadmap , Xiaomi is right on schedule.

MIUI 13.0.5.0.SKAEUXM is the name of the update that is now available for the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. The download is 3.6 GB, so a real chunk. So it says turn on the wifi. But don't forget to back up your personal data first! You never know.

The user experience on a new level

MIUI 13 introduces Liquid Storage, a new system-level way to manage stored files on devices. Up until now, data on devices has been constantly being written and overwritten, causing memory to become fragmented over time. After just 36 months, this slows down read and write speeds by up to 50 percent. This also affects how quickly users can access apps and how quickly those apps can access the resources they need. Liquid Storage in MIUI 13 reduces this fragmentation and actively manages the stored data. This improves read and write speeds by up to 60 percent. Compared to some other Android OS, MIUI 13 maintains up to 95 percent speed over time. This not only improves the user experience, but also extends the lifespan of the device.

Furthermore, to boost performance even more, MIUI 13 uses Atomized Memory, an ultra-fine memory management method that takes RAM efficiency to a new level. This feature analyzes how apps use memory and categorizes an individual app's RAM usage processes into important and unimportant tasks. Then all unimportant tasks are closed so that apps only use the memory for what is important to the user at the moment. This allows more apps to run without sacrificing performance.

MIUI 13 also features Focused Algorithms that dynamically allocate system resources based on usage scenarios, making MIUI smoother and more responsive. Without Focused Algorithms, smartphone processors distribute resources relatively evenly across all apps. Focused Algorithms prioritizes the active app above all others, allowing the CPU to focus on important tasks. This gives users faster speeds and higher performance at all times.

Smart Balance continues to enable an enhanced experience in MIUI 13. It's designed to automatically find the balance between performance and power consumption, so everyone gets the power and speed they need to be mobile on the go. With Smart Balance, the overall battery life can be extended by up to 10 percent in MIUI 13.

New functions for more efficiency and personalization

In addition to the fundamental improvements, MIUI 13 also introduces exciting new features that allow users to customize and personalize their user interface.

The sidebar is another efficient tool in MIUI 13 that provides one-swipe access to all your favorite apps in floating windows - without leaving the current app. This is perfect for multitasking users who want an easier way to launch multiple apps at once or switch between them quickly. Users can customize the feature with up to ten apps in the sidebar.
