Telegram update introduces download manager, redesigned attachments menu and more
Telegram is one of the best instant messaging apps out there. It is fast, has many features and is actively developed extensively. The company releases important updates very frequently compared to competing apps like WhatsApp. In the latest Telegram update there is a new media download manager, a redesigned attachments menu, a semi-transparent interface on Android and much more.
When a user downloads a file on Telegram, a new download icon appears in the search bar. With it, you can view, rearrange, pause, and resume pending downloads. The update also brings a cosmetic change to the Attachments menu. Now the menu has a more modern interface. Another cosmetic change is the login flow - this screen has been completely redesigned.
Telegram introduced semi-transparent headers for iOS users back in June 2021. For Android users, the wait is finally over - more than half a year later. In addition, the desktop client now supports integration with live streaming apps.
Last but not least, in this update, Telegram has simplified the linking to the profile. Now you can also use t.me links for phone numbers, e.g. t.me/+12345678900. When a non-Telegram user clicks on a t.me link, the site also now displays more information - including full chat history of public channels.
