OnePlus: One of the best phone features is disappearing

OnePlus fans could rely on one thing with almost all cell phones: the popular alert slider was included as a unique selling point. That should change with an upcoming model, as a new report shows.

Smartphones from the Chinese manufacturer have had a special slider since 2015. The unique selling point on the edge of the smartphone allows you to quickly switch between several sound profiles. A handy feature that can also be found on the flagship OnePlus 10 Pro. With the upcoming OnePlus 10R, however, the manufacturer would like to do without the alert slider (source: Pricebaba).

According to a larger leak about the upcoming OnePlus 10R, the cell phone will not have an alert slider . The successor to the OnePlus 9R from 2021 thus joins some of the manufacturer's cheap cell phones that also do without the slider. He was not involved with the OnePlus Nord N200 and the Nord CE 2.

Apart from the missing alert slider, the OnePlus 10R is supposed to be based in part on the OnePlus 10 Pro , albeit with weaker hardware. The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 could be used as the processor.
