Nothing: Exciting Android smartphone to be presented in April
A little over a year ago, Nothing acquired the Essential smartphone brand, including its intellectual property and brand assets. Since then, there has been reason to believe that Nothing is working on releasing a new smartphone. Rumors first began to surface in October, and TechCrunch's latest report suggests Nothing could announce a phone as early as April.
According to the source, Carl Pei met with key industry figures at MWC to show off a prototype of the upcoming Nothing phone. The source is apparently close to Nothing. TechCrunch confirms it saw a photo of a meeting with Pei and a Qualcomm executive.
There are no details about the hardware itself, other than that the device will have a similar design and "transparent elements" to the first pair of Nothing headphones.
Nothing is a company founded by Carl Pei, the co-founder of OnePlus. Nothing's first product was a pair of earphones with a unique transparent design.
