Motorola just rose to number three in the US smartphone market and it looks like the brand is unstoppable this year. According to a leaked roadmap, we can expect no fewer than 19 smartphones from Moto this calendar year.
Evan Blass has leaked details of at least four upcoming Motorola devices. All belong to the company's high-end Edge portfolio.
The four upcoming Motorola phones are codenamed Frontier, Miami, Dubai and Dubai Plus. We've heard and read a lot about the frontier with the bulky 200 MP camera. Blass claims that the device will launch in global markets as the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. However, don't expect it until the third quarter of this year.
The phone we can expect much sooner is Dubai. The phone could be released in April with a 6.55″ FullHD+ screen, 144Hz refresh rate, dual 50MP cameras and a 2MP depth camera on the back, a 32MP selfie camera and a 4,020mAh battery. There's no word on the processor, but the device should come in three RAM/storage configurations, ending with an 8GB/256GB model.
The Dubai Plus will reportedly be released in the third quarter of this year. The unnamed phone is expected to come with an octa-core MediaTek CPU clocked at two Cortex-A78 cores at 2.6GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. The main difference between this model and the standard Dubai will be that it will get a more powerful 5,000mAh battery and stylus support.
Finally, Motorola could launch the phone, codenamed Miami, sometime between the two Dubai devices. That would be between April and September. The phone could be a Lite version of the Edge Plus, with a 6.28″ 120Hz display, Snapdragon 695, 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage, 64MP main camera, 13MP wide-angle camera and 32MP selfie camera Miami is also said to come with a 4,020mAh battery.
Blass didn't share details about the rest of the phones on Motorola's roster. However, he called this leak "Part 1" of the company's roadmap.
