The first Apple event of 2022 will take place this Tuesday. But where and how can you follow the performances of the evening? If you don't want to miss the new iPhone SE 3 and much more, you have to know where to "switch on" - xiaomist reveals all the options for the live stream.
Live stream of the Apple event: Watch here from 7 p.m
The next Apple event was announced for today , Tuesday, March 8, 2022 - coincidentally also International Women's Day. The live stream starts shortly before 7 p.m. and can be followed directly on Apple's website or in the TV app on all Apple devices. Thus also on the Apple TV and compatible television. But it's certainly even easier on YouTube or here in the article, simply switch it on at 7 p.m.:
iPhone SE 3, new iPad Air and Macs: What will there be?
And what could Apple present us with on this day? The name (Peek Performance) and the graphics of the event invite speculation, but in the end are rather uninformative. All the reports and rumors of the last few weeks, which we also reported on in large numbers, are more revealing. Based on this, the following predictions can be made:
iPhone SE 3: The affordable third generation iPhone SE is considered to be quite safe. But most likely, Apple will only change the inside of the smartphone – a new chip (Apple A15) and a 5G modem. Everything else including design, display, home button is taken over from the predecessor. A really new iPhone SE will probably be seen next year at the earliest. Pricing is still uncertain, with a bit of luck the new iPhone SE 3 could be cheaper than its predecessor – we'll just have to wait and see. iPad Air 5: Overdue and probably also an update of the iPad Air. In the fifth generation we can expect adjustments that the iPad mini 6 anticipated last year - Apple A15, optionally with 5G, four speakers instead of just two and support for the center Stage. Thanks to the new ultra-wide-angle camera in the front area, you are always in view. iOS and iPadOS 15.4: Apple has now distributed the fifth beta version to developers and volunteer testers. The final version for publication is not far away. It doesn't necessarily have to appear on March 8th, but Apple could give us a fixed release date for the update for the middle of the month. Mac mini Pro: A more powerful Mac mini has been expected for a long time, and it is now due to be presented in March. At least the M1 Pro that we know from the new MacBook Pros works inside. Will the M1 Max also make it into the case? Still unclear, but not entirely impossible. MacBook Pro: Apple is rumored to be presenting the new M2 chip in the spring. It should be a bit faster than its predecessor and will probably premiere in a new MacBook Pro. The only new thing about this MacBook Pro would be the chip, the rest corresponds to the current entry-level model with a 13-inch display. If you will, the new entry-level MacBook Pro will be a kind of "MacBook Pro SE" - new wine in old bottles. The new MacBook Air will not be presented yet:
So much for the expected announcements from Apple. Although further products are still expected for the current year, they are less likely for March. Named a redesigned MacBook Air, an iMac Pro and the successor to the current Mac Pro. All of this could be shown to us in the summer, in May at the earliest. You can see new models of the Apple Watch, the iPhone 14 and an update of the iPad Pro later.
