How to hide certain apps on a Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO phone

Before you start you should know that in MIUI 9 you will not be able to hide the application, but you can only lock it with a password. In the most recent versions you can hide it completely, if it still works for you, you must do the following:

  1. Go to Settings/Applications ⇨ App lock
  2. Inside, tap the gear icon (at the top right)
  3. Find and enable the Hidden Apps option

  5. Select the app you want to hide and voilà! On your phone you will be asked for a password and that's it, hidden application.

Once the application in question is done, it will have been hidden in a hidden apps folder. From which you can manage (hide or show) the apps that are inside.

You may have to perform a V-pinch gesture away from the screen to access this hidden folder on Miui.

Hide app notifications

In this part we are going to hide the notifications that can reach our phone from those apps that we do not want to reach us.

To do this we go to Settings / Notifications .

We give the first option and we will see the option to "open notification bar on the lock screen", if we deactivate this option, no application will show its notification .
