Hide applications on Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco mobiles
If for some reason you want to hide applications on Xiaomi , Redmi or Pocophone mobiles , today we will show you how to do it. You can make this possible with a simple function included in Miui 11+ , and as you know, almost all mobile phones of the brand have it! Except the Mi A1, A2 and A3.
How to hide certain apps on a Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO phone
Before you start you should know that in MIUI 9 you will not be able to hide the application, but you can only lock it with a password. In the most recent versions you can hide it completely, if it still works for you, you must do the following:
- Go to Settings/Applications ⇨ App lock
- Inside, tap the gear icon (at the top right)
- Find and enable the Hidden Apps option
- Select the app you want to hide and voilà! On your phone you will be asked for a password and that's it, hidden application.
Once the application in question is done, it will have been hidden in a hidden apps folder. From which you can manage (hide or show) the apps that are inside.
You may have to perform a V-pinch gesture away from the screen to access this hidden folder on Miui.
Hide app notifications
In this part we are going to hide the notifications that can reach our phone from those apps that we do not want to reach us.
To do this we go to Settings / Notifications .
At the top we will see the 3 notification options that we have:
- Lock screen notifications
- floating notifications
- Notification on app icons
We give the first option and we will see the option to "open notification bar on the lock screen", if we deactivate this option, no application will show its notification .
However, if we select only the individual application , it will be this one that will not inform us if we have a notification in our notification window on the desktop.
