Following the launch of Android 12L on Monday, Google last night announced Android 12 QPR3 Beta 1 as part of a new beta program to preview the next feature drop to coincide with quarterly platform releases and is expected in June .
Now the Android 12 beta will continue with the next round of updates for our feature drop in June, starting with beta 1. These are known as Quarterly Platform Releases (QPRs) and will be delivered to Google Pixel devices as part of the feature drops.
Google says that Beta 1 (S3B1.220218.004) with the March 2022 security patch includes "functionality and user experience improvements along with the latest bug fixes and optimizations".
Android 12 QPR3 Beta 1 is available for the Pixel 4, 4a, 5, 5a, 6 and 6 Pro. As this version launches in June, the Pixel 3a and 3a XL will likely not receive this final version as their guaranteed update period ends in May.
