Just a few days ago, Xiaomi introduced us to its new Redmi 10C in the Global market, a device that surprised us with its good specifications at a relatively contained price, and which is now joined by a new member in this series that has just been launched. in China, the new Redmi 10A.
In this case, yes, we are facing a fairly basic phone at the level of design and specifications , and this is presented as the entry option to the world of Redmi devices with a price that does not even reach 100 euros. Let's take a look to see what this new smartphone hides.

An extremely basic phone in all its sections
There is no doubt that this new Redmi 10A is an economical terminal, and it is something that is clear to us from the first moment that we take a look at its design. As you can see, it is really similar to what Xiaomi presented us with in the Redmi 10C, housing a generously sized camera module on the back in which we find several holes, but there is only one sensor.

This module also includes a fingerprint sensor which, to tell the truth, is not in the best position for cleaning this area and, as expected from such an inexpensive device, it is built entirely in plastic and can be purchased in up to three different color finishes: black, blue and gray.
For its front part we also have a well-known design within the Chinese firm, with a drop-shaped notch that takes full advantage of the 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel on the edge of the device. This screen has an HD+ resolution (1600 X 720 pixels) and a refresh rate of 60 Hz, so at the level of performance in this sense it is not exactly at the forefront of today.

And if this detail did not make it clear to us, there is the micro USB connection to remind us, a connector that today makes no sense and that, to be honest, we do not understand how it can continue to be implemented in current phones despite having a very low price.

Leaving behind this tremendous disappointment, we also have to tell you about its internal hardware which, as with the rest of the team, is quite fair. This equips a Mediatek Helio G25 processor along with versions of 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage expandable via micro SD up to 512 GB, so its power will be enough for everyday tasks, but not much beyond.
Of course, luckily we have the classic 5,000 mAh battery that Xiaomi usually equips in its low-end devices, although it lacks fast charging technologies. For the rest, the most we can highlight is that it integrates a speaker that promises high sound power and a 3.5 mm jack, but beyond that we do not find any particularly noteworthy features.

Finally, another of the great disappointments of this equipment is that it arrives from the factory with MIUI 12.5 , so we will not be able to enjoy the news of the most recent version of this customization layer. And something similar happens with its camera system, which is really fair with an extremely basic configuration:
- 13 megapixel main sensor
- 5 megapixel front camera
