{Disarmed} Looking to inherit the crown of the mid-range: this is the new POCO X4 Pro compared to its predecessor
The POCO company has already presented us in society its new POCO X4 Pro 5G , the renewal of Xiaomi's best-selling phone throughout the year 2021, which integrates interesting news with respect to its previous generation that make it a quite general jump important.
This means that its price has also increased slightly, so we are going to compare both models to help you know whether or not it is worth making the leap to this new generation or if, on the contrary, the POCO X3 Pro is still more recommended.

POCO bets everything on the screen, connectivity and fast charging
From the first moment it seems that POCO wants to make it clear to us that its new X4 Pro 5G has improved a lot compared to what we had in the previous generation. This has a rear design that goes from a plastic to glass finish, with completely flat edges that give a better sense of construction to the whole.

In addition, the camera module has been completely redesigned and has even more presence in this part, on the front the panel is better used at the edge in this new generation and all the physical connectivity that we already found in the POCO X3 Pro remains practically intact.
Now, one of the main changes that we find in this new generation is in the screen, which is still 6.67 inches in size, but which makes a significant leap with the inclusion of a panel with AMOLED technology, thus providing a maximum brightness that practically triples up to 1,200 nits.

Of course, the refresh rate is still maintained at up to 120 Hz and the touch sampling rate is slightly increased to 360 Hz, which will give us a better experience (at least on paper) in games and other applications that require a best panel response.
But be careful, since not all the specifications have improved in this new generation, and in its hardware we are going to find very relevant differences. For example, POCO has left Qualcomm's 800-series processors behind in favor of the Snapdragon 695 which, at least a priori, should give slightly lower performance than its predecessor's Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 .
Another change is found in the technology of its internal memory, which goes from the UFS 3.1 of the POCO X3 Pro to the UFS 2.2 , which can be a significant step backwards despite the fact that the same configurations of up to 8 GB of RAM are maintained. and 256 GB of storage expandable via micro SD up to 1 TB.

And of course, we have to mention one of the most relevant improvements in this new generation, such as fast charging. Although the capacity of the battery has been affected, going down to a more than enough 5,000 mAh, the fast charging technology has grown to a brutal 67W, which allows the phone to be fully charged in just 30 minutes.
In addition, the best thing is that the charger is included in the product box itself (in addition to a silicone case for protection), and we have 5G connectivity , which is something that the POCO X3 Pro lacked and another point that has slightly increased its price.

Finally, as expected, the POCO X4 Pro 5G has the latest version of MIUI 13 (although the X3 Pro will update sooner rather than later) and the camera configuration has been slightly improved, being as follows: both teams:
POCO X4 Pro 5G
- Samsung HM2 main sensor of 108 MP and aperture f / 1.9
- 8 MP ultra wide angle with f/2.2 aperture and 118° viewing angle
- 2 MP Macro lens with f/2.4 aperture
- 16 MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture
POCO X3 Pro
- 48 MP main sensor and f/1.79 aperture
- 8 MP ultra wide angle with f/2.2 aperture and 119° viewing angle
- 2 MP Macro lens with f/2.4 aperture
- 2 MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture
- 16MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture

A slight price increase that justifies the leap forward
As you have been able to verify, both terminals have different approaches since, although the POCO X3 Pro is still more powerful on paper, the new generation is committed to a better screen, faster charging and a better designed design, so you will have to assess if that is the best for you.

And it is that this is extremely important since their prices are not too different, being able to get the new POCO X4 Pro 5G for 299 euros starting and the popular POCO X3 Pro for around 249 euros , although it is well known that we can get them cheaper in different offers.
Therefore, we will have to choose based on the personal preference of each one, if we are looking for more raw power, we will undoubtedly have to opt for the previous generation, but if we want a more updated terminal and with more recent technologies, the new POCO X4 Pro 5G will be a great choice.
