Although the flagship series Samsung Galaxy S22 is very attractive for fans of high-performance hardware (at least when it comes to variants with Snapdragon), the new smartphones have a very important drawback - extremely low maintainability, according to experts.

According to the experts of the well-known portal iFixit, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra models scored 3 out of 10 possible points - much lower than the competitors of a similar class.

The only advantage of the series, according to experts, is the use of standard screws. Replacing the battery is said to be "too complicated" and repairs require working with very strong glue.

The list of shortcomings doesn't end there: iFixit bemoans the lack of a free service manual and criticizes the "terrible" screen repair process. In any case, the ratings for the Galaxy S22 and S22 Ultra are very low.

The only screws are standard Phillips screws, but that's about the only benefit.
Replacing the battery remains too difficult for a component with a finite lifespan, and every repair involves wading through tough glue.

At the time of the teardown, Samsung hasn't provided a free service manual for either device.
