Among Xiaomi users there is a kind of secret code to talk about a great technological milestone of the company: "I had it". And almost always you will know which one we are referring to: the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha , a true ahead of its time that some users allowed themselves the luxury of importing and enjoying.
But beyond this technical whim, there is a wide range of Xiaomi and Redmi devices that have been left on the verge of export or directly never entered the company's global sales plans . They are the ones that follow.
The Redmi that you cannot buy in Spain
Redmi K50 Pro , although it may arrive in Spain in the form of POCO F4 Pro , as happened with the previous generation. As it was, that powerful AMOLED screen, that portentous Mediatek Dimensity 9000 accompanied by up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage are too attractive to ignore.
Redmi K50 . Yes, one more. We already know that the 'K' series remains in Japan, although it may arrive in Spain in the form of POCO F4 , following in the footsteps of the previous generation.

Redmi K40S . Xiaomi is prone to reissues and reviews of models that became milestones, such as the Redmi Note 8 2021 review. However, we are very afraid that this madness titled Redmi K40S will not leave China. A pity, because we are talking about a mid-high range smartphone for just over 250 euros to change.
Other Redmis that have not set foot in our territory either – nor in Europe in general – are the very interesting Redmi 10X / 10X Pro 5G . A pity, because they would compete very strongly in the entry range.
Civi needs to conquer more civilization

Although if there is a real loss to regret, it is the one called Xiaomi Civi. We are in love with this terminal and its new iteration , which could well be a CIVI 2 or a CIVI Pro.

Unfortunately, Xiaomi itself confirmed this to the Android Authority through the following official statement: " Xiaomi CIVI is and will be a device exclusive to mainland China ." How about a Redmi codename or something like a Xiaomi 12 Lite New Edition? Although we wouldn't be disgusted by that fluffy winter edition either .
The MIX family, a mix of mixed emotions

When the brand took its first steps, in order to produce affordable smartphones, many of its flagships have been cornered in the Chinese market . And the MIX family has always claimed to be the most innovative, but also the most expensive.
The first to miss is the Xiaomi MIX 4 . Our first impressions confirmed that this all screen has more than enough reasons to land in Spain: it is powerful, it is technologically a prodigy and the ceramic finishes guarantee a power that the mid-range will never reach.

Let's at least have hope with the Xiaomi MIX 5 , the heir to the throne of this dynasty that would present the latest innovations in fast charging (up to 200W) and that "all screen", with a 6.89-inch panel .
Although worse still is the situation of the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold . Tasting it left us wanting more. Unfortunately, Xiaomi is quite blunt in this regard, the Fold will not come to Spain not because folding technology is not mature enough, but because "it is still an expensive technology today due to production levels."

A pity because the consulting firm Canalys points in this direction and, meanwhile, Samsung is taking over this market . For its part, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 could suffer from the same problem if the brand does not decide to make the leap. Other editions like that luxurious and elegant New Year's edition are not even presupposed in our country, of course.

Of course, there are many other old models that never left the East, such as the Zoom editions of the Mi 9 and 10, the Xiaomi Mi 10S itself, the Mi 9 Pro 5G or the Mi 8 Explorer Edition . None of them has been able to be purchased from Spain and we doubt that even the brand already contemplates among its plans to reissue them for its European launch.
