Kaspersky Lab products should be replaced with alternative applications against the background of the Russian war in Ukraine. Namely, the Russian software could be used for cyber operations.

Replacing Kaspersky's antivirus solution with other providers is intended to reduce the risk of Russian cyber attacks in Germany. However, it is not advisable to switch off the virus protection, because then the system is completely unprotected.

In the meantime, Kaspersky has also responded to the warning from the BSI. We will continue to convince partners and customers of quality and integrity. The company now wants to work with the BSI to allay concerns.

There is also no reason for concern, since 2018 all data has been processed in Switzerland. The data centers are located in Zurich and would meet all security standards. As a private company, Kaspersky says it has no ties to the Russian or any other government.
