Xiaomi launches CarWith, its own alternative to Android Auto that you can already try
Xiaomi does not stop surprising us with new features for its customization layer. On this occasion, the latest MIUI beta debuts alongside CarWith , an alternative to Android Auto capable of interconnecting our smartphone with our vehicle.
Through the latest weekly beta, specifically V22.2.7 , Xiaomi has presented CarWith without notice price, being for now a functionality in tests , only available for now for the MIUI Chinese ROM.
This is CarWith, Xiaomi's alternative to Android AUTO
In detail, as MIUIes tells us, the new CarWith functionality is capable of using the navigation services, music, telephone and other telephone applications on the central control screen of our vehicle.
As can be seen in the image above, the CarWith interface is quite simple and minimalist , incorporating an application bar on one side, as well as a top bar where the current status of the device is displayed.
That if, for now this functionality seems to be limited to certain models, including the Xiaomi 11, Redmi K40 Pro and K50 Pro +, Xiaomi 11i, Xiaomi 11X and Xiaomi 11X Pro . Likewise, this functionality is only compatible with the MIUI China ROM, although we could soon see it in its Global variant.
In order to test this functionality, we must install the MIUI China ROM on our smartphone, having previously unlocked the bootloader and also installed a boot manager . Another alternative is to install the Xiaomi.EU beta week, as we explain in this link .
