The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi already presented the Xiaomi 12 series in China in December. Up to now, this series has three smartphones including Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12X. But there is also said to be a top version, which the manufacturer is said to release sometime in March.
The top flagship Xiaomi 12 Ultra should come - or not. All the leakers themselves don't seem to agree on that. Because some say it's coming, others say the model doesn't even exist and the Xiaomi MIX 5 should take over this part instead.
Well-known Weibo leaker DigitalChatStation has now revealed some of the technical data of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra camera. The flagship smartphone is said to be equipped with a 50 MP main camera. It will also have a 48MP ultra wide-angle sensor as well as a 48MP telephoto sensor with 5x periscope lossless zoom. That means there will be a triple camera setup on the back. Both the main camera and the telephoto camera support optical image stabilization. The camera also supports up to 120x digital zoom. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra camera is said to have been jointly developed by Xiaomi and Leica.
So far, Leica has worked with Huawei. Through this collaboration, Huawei has risen in the field of photography. At the same time, Huawei has increased its influence on the brand and successfully entered the ultra-high-end mobile phone market.
Now that Xiaomi is partnering with Leica, the company's strength in photography will continue to improve. Considering that many Xiaomi models have already dominated the DXOMARK leaderboard, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will most likely take the top spot again in DXOMARK with the help of Leica.
