The Sony Xperia 1 IV will become the next Sony flagship for this year. A new leak has now revealed more details about the device. Sony apparently intends to launch the phone with the not-yet-unveiled Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+.
A few weeks ago, rumors gave a first glimpse of what to expect from Sony's flagship phone for this year, the Xperia 1 IV. A new leak has revealed even more information about the Xperia 1 IV.
As revealed by a Chinese source, the Sony Xperia 1 IV will come with a 6.1″ display that will apparently be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. It is believed that the battery capacity of the flagship will be slightly increased compared to the previous model. The Xperia 1 III featured a 4,500 mAh battery.
The most interesting part of the leak relates to the SoC of the Xperia I IV. Allegedly, the premium phone will launch with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 manufactured by TSMC, so the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+. It seems that the camera hardware will remain unchanged from the Xperia I III, as the informant uses the 12MP Sony IMX557 sensor as the main camera, the 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor as the ultra wide-angle camera and the 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor with 3- times optical zoom lens.
If the information about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ is correct, fans may have to wait a while before the Sony Xperia 1 IV is officially announced.
