Samsung's new A cell phones are just around the corner: From the top model Galaxy A73 to the Galaxy A23, a lot of information about the equipment has come to light in advance. Compared to the models of the previous year, however, the innovations are limited.
Big leak on Samsung's Galaxy A phones
Even before the public announcement of this year's Galaxy A cell phones, many details about the four smartphones Galaxy A73, A53, A33 and A23 are already certain. Accordingly, Samsung is not planning a major revolution, but is merely refining the models for 2021. The Galaxy A73 as the successor to the Galaxy A72 is, as usual, the best-equipped smartphone in the affordable range.
According to the leak, the Galaxy A73 will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hertz. It comes with a Snapdragon 750G and a quad camera on the back. Unlike the Galaxy A72, the successor allows photos with up to 108 MP. In addition, as usual, there is a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh.
Instead of a Snapdragon processor, Samsung relies on an in-house Exynos 1200 for the Galaxy A53 . The display offers a diagonal of 6.52 inches and a refresh rate of 120 Hertz. The main lens of the quad camera creates images with 64 MP. The battery capacity increases from 4,500 mAh in the Galaxy A52 (5G) to 5,000 mAh (source: @Shadow_Leak).
This is what we think of the current Samsung Galaxy A52 (5G):
Samsung Galaxy A33 and A23 only with Android 11
The Galaxy A33 is noticeably slimmer. The smaller 6.4-inch display is probably only enough for 60 Hertz. The processor used is the Dimensity 720 from MediaTek. A quadruple camera is also available here, but this only has a resolution of 48 MP. The battery remains the same at 5,000 mAh. Apparently, Samsung only wants to preinstall Android 11 on the phone.
Samsung has also decided against Android 12 for the even cheaper Galaxy A23 . The screen of the smartphone is 6.6 inches diagonally. Differences can be found in the cameras. Four lenses are available instead of three. Pictures are possible with up to 50 MP.
Samsung has not yet announced the new Galaxy A phones. A performance is expected in March 2022 .
