Samsung patents phone with roll/slide display and S Pen support
Samsung is already known worldwide for its foldable smartphones. Meanwhile, the company unveiled its concept phone with a rollable (also sliding) display at DTC 2021, and now it looks like Samsung may be launching its new smartphone with a rollable display soon.
The screen folds out horizontally from the left, effectively turning the device into a tablet. The WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) has granted a patent for this concept.
The patent published by WIPO reveals the possible folding mechanism of the upcoming Samsung smartphone. According to the patent, the devices consist of two housings. The patent also ensures that the rollable display will be equipped with S-Pen functionality.
The back table, which houses part of the slider screen, always has room for the S Pen. Above the S Pen is another unit that could be for the camera sensors.
Samsung has previously shown screens that can be moved twice, three times or even. Let's see when we can expect a finished product.
