Samsung will probably unveil a whole trio of smartphones tomorrow: The regular Galaxy S22 will be flanked by the Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra. A remarkable survey now shows which of the three Samsung smartphones those who are willing to change are particularly interested in. The Galaxy S22 Plus has a problem.
Only one day separates us from the presentation of the Galaxy S22: As expected, Samsung will present the new smartphone series on February 9th, which will probably again contain a slightly larger Plus version and an Ultra version in addition to the standard model. But which of the three Samsung smartphones is the most interesting?
Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus generates the least interest
SellCell now provides an answer to this question. In a survey, the US sales platform asked almost 11,000 of its own users about the new Galaxy S22 series (source: SellCell). 20 percent of those surveyed stated that they wanted to switch to Samsung's new flagship smartphones - an impressive figure that proves that enthusiasm for the successors to the Galaxy S21 series is quite high, at least in advance.
Of those willing to change, 44.4 percent stated that they wanted to buy the Galaxy S22 Ultra. At least 30.1 percent would like to switch to the Galaxy S22, while the Galaxy S22 Plus comes in third place with 25.5 percent.
Samsung recently introduced the Galaxy S21 FE:
Galaxy S22 Plus lacks unique selling proposition
These numbers should give Samsung food for thought. Of course, the survey is not representative, but it could be an indication of how the respective models are perceived by the public. The Galaxy S22 Plus, at least it seems, lacks a real USP, a unique selling point .
If you want the best of the best, grab the Galaxy S22 Ultra. On the other hand, if you want to save some money and prefer a compact smartphone, you should probably take the Galaxy S22. From what is known so far, the Galaxy S22 Plus is neither fish nor meat.
Within Samsung's new smartphone trio, it could become the unloved stepchild.
