Realme 9i

The Realme 9i was presented as the base model of the series. It has a new 6nm 4G/LTE processor and faster loading time compared to its predecessor. But the display was downgraded, which many users might find disappointing.

In addition to the Realme 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ , the manufacturer has also developed a direct successor to the Realme 8i, which it describes as "next-level power" in comparison. Nice marketing talk.

The Realme 9i has the same 5,000mAh battery as its predecessor, but now charges at the same 33W power as the Realme 9 Pro. This additional loading speed pairs well with the new Snapdragon 680 processor, as opposed to the 12nm Mediatek Helio G96 of its predecessor.

A 6.6″ 20:9 FullHD+ LCD panel is installed, just like that of the 8i. However, Realme dropped the refresh rate from 120Hz to 90Hz in 2022; Also, typical brightness is now 480 nits, compared to 600 nits on the 8i.

The 9i's rear cameras are even exactly the same as those of the previous generation, albeit housed in a new camera hump to match the rest of the brand's updated style so far. Realme has at least given the new phone based on Android 11 a dynamic RAM expansion.
