Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL got the latest update from Google
Google last night rolled out the February 2022 Android security patch for the Pixel phones . And for 2 Pixel models, it's goodbye. For the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, this meant the end of update support.
Google confirmed to 9TO5Google that the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will no longer receive software updates going forward. The phones were launched back in 2018 with Android Pie.
Google delivered on its software update promise for the devices back in October, but promised a final cumulative update for the phones in November. It did the same for the Pixel 2 series in 2020 before dropping them from its update list.
The February 2022 release for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL is a minor update. It includes security patches and bug fixes from November 2021 to February 2022. The 12.32 MB OTA update is now being rolled out with build number SP1A.210812.016.C1.
