OnePlus has touted its upcoming mid-range smartphone, the Nord CE 2 5G, in a new tweet. It doesn't offer much new information other than the name of a new color variant that the manufacturer has developed for the device. On the other hand, he also confirms the design and the number of cameras.

OnePlus has announced a successor to the Nord CE. The brand's first teaser for the device hinted at a camera hump, which was also shown in leaks ahead of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G's official announcement.

Now OnePlus has officially shown off this design, and in full size at that. The latest render confirms that the new camera hump will feature three lenses, one much smaller than the others.

Possible OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G specifications

OnePlus India has confirmed that the Nord CE 2 5G will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC. In addition, the device is said to be equipped with a 6.43″ FullHD+ 90 Hz AMOLED display. The memory and storage variants have not yet been confirmed, but rumors have it that the device will come with 6GB and 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

For photography, the smartphone will feature a triple camera system with a 64 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra wide-angle unit (119° FOV) and a 2 MP macro sensor. On the front there will be a 16 MP selfie camera.

OnePlus has confirmed that the device will be launched on February 17th in Bahama Blue and Gray Mirror colors.
